MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

The dry air achieved its job of clearing out the persistent cloudiness from early in the week, and sunshine is abundant as a result.  Temperatures have risen to above-average levels, but will cool fairly drastically once the sun sets.  The clear sky and light winds will allow overnight readings to fall to around 60° before sunrise Thursday.  A slight transition begins with winds shifting from the east during the daylight hours.  This will provide a little more moisture and scattered afternoon clouds.  Rain chances hold off until Friday with the approach of a modest cold front, but before its arrival over the weekend, highs will climb well into the 80s, with some upper 80s possible outside of building clouds.  Weekend rain chances consist mainly of scattered showers and isolated thunder, which should wind down Sunday afternoon.
