TALLAHASSEE FL (WTXL) -- We'll see one more day of quiet, calm, and warm weather before rain and possible thunderstorms try to move in. A high pressure is currently sitting off to our east and has been enforcing our southerly wind flow. This high pressure will weaken and move further east throughout Thursday. As it's doing so, a strong low pressure system will push closer to us. This system's cold front will be bringing a strong line of rain and storms to us late Thursday night through Friday morning. At this time, thunderstorms are possible, and while the threat of severe weather and storms remain low, it cannot be ruled out.
Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy to mostly clear with lows near 60 degrees. Winds will be fairly light through the evening from the south. Overall, a quiet evening is expected.
Thursday will be another unseasonably warm day with highs expected to reach to the mid and upper 80s for most. Skies will be partly cloudy, with an increase in clouds for the later afternoon hour. Winds will stay southerly at about 5 to 10 mph. Thursday night, lows will fall to the lower 60s, but rain chances will return to the forecast from the previously mentioned cold front.
