MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Spotty showers and storms this evening aren't quite as organized as they were last night, but there's still a limited chance for briefly strong storms with wind gusts, as well as storms in general producing lightning and passing heavy rain. We will start a transition toward a slightly drier pattern tomorrow through the rest of the week, as the influences of high pressure off the U.S. east coast actually forces a drier segment of the atmosphere into the region. Rain coverage will be lowered to about 30% of the area Thursday, mainly focused on coastal and western areas. Lows will range from the mid 60s interior southeast Georgia to lower 70s coast and west. Highs may climb back into the 90s with less cloudiness, while upper 80s are possible near the Apalachicola basin. A further reduction in rain chances is in store for Friday and Saturday with warm afternoon readings.
