MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
The limited late-afternoon and evening thunderstorm activity will be rather localized, but areas impacted can experience a round of heavy rain, a burst of lightning, and occasionally gusty winds for a relatively short amount of time. The highest chances of these sorts of storms occurring will be around the tri-state area, and what does form is expected to move to the northeast. Otherwise, patches of clouds and areas of clear sky are projected for the nighttime hours, with steamy lows in the mid 70s. A series of high-pressure systems based in the Atlantic will promote further heating in the next few afternoons while suppressing the afternoon thunderstorm cycle. Highs will range from around 90° at the beach to the mid and upper 90s inland. Feels-like temps will remain elevated, approaching 105° during the day. Actual air temperatures may reach 100° over the weekend time frame, with not much potential for organized rain development.
