MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The warmer, more humid pattern setting in for the region has allowed for a more mild start and finish for Wednesday. This will continue into the weekend with even warmer temperatures likely and rain coverage minimal, but still possible.
Thursday lows are forecast to dip into only the lower to mid 60s with the coolest values focused north of the state line. Daytime highs Thursday will range in the mid to upper 80s. The consistent flow of winds from the east-northeast will allow for cloud cover to increase and moisture content to stay high. The rain coverage stays minimal, however, due to high pressure in the upper levels in the atmosphere. The higher pressure will limit thunderstorm growth somewhat, hindering rain coverage to less than 20%.
Friday into Sunday will feature much of the same pattern. Forecast lows are around the lower to mid 60s each day, with highs around the mid 80s. Rain coverage will stay around 20% or less until around Wednesday, when a frontal system approaches.
