MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
We are experiencing the true "hit-or-miss" variety of rain and thunderstorm coverage late today, with most of the activity present from the tri-state region northeast into the state line counties of southern Georgia. With ample moisture, downpours are possible along with occasional lightning, but overly intense or severe storms should be minimal through tonight. Clouds will linger overnight with lows in the lower 70s. Thursday, a similar set-up will be in place, featuring scattered rain and thunder development induced by a few hours of heating, the seabreeze flow, and the remnants of a weakened front in the Deep South. Highs will reach the upper 80s and lower 90s. A second front may slip into the Southeast for the end of the week, generating a few more rainy areas, then tropical moisture connects with the region early next week to keep rain potential elevated.
