MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

The onshore breeze and a nearby slow frontal system are helping to trigger scattered showers, brief heavy rain, and pockets of thunderstorms.  The main impacts from these spotty unsettled weather features are near the state line region, south through I-10, and moving mostly east to northeast.  Severe weather is not expected, but leftover clouds and showers will persist through the late-night period.  The excess moisture will promote patchy fog and warm lows around 70°.  Breaks of sun will allow warming back into the mid to upper 80s, and around 90° for a few, but the current setup will also promote the re-development of afternoon showers and storms.  A stronger low pressure and front on Friday will enhance the coverage of rain and the strength of some storms, then some breaking cloud cover will be projected for the weekend with drier conditions returning by then.
