MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Local conditions through Thursday will remain uneventful, with mild temperatures and passing clouds along with breaks of clear sky overnight, especially near the tri-state area. Lows will range from the mid 60s inland to low 70s southeast. Thursday afternoon will feature a mix of clouds and sun, with partly sunny times for the eastern side of the region near the Suwannee River. Moisture will still be somewhat limited, so decent rain activity isn't expected in a widespread sense. Isolated showers only are possible in the lower Suwannee Valley. It will be slightly breezy as highs reach the mid to upper 80s, depending on how much sunshine prevails.
Friday, Hurricane Matthew will march along or near the Florida East Coast. This forecast movement would bring additional clouds to the eastern half of the region, and a modest increase in rain chances around and east of Interstate 75. Breezes have only a limited chance to exceed 25 mph, with isolated cases of brief tropical-storm-force gusts in the Suwannee Valley.
