MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Nearby higher pressure in the Gulf is limiting the late-day shower and storm action. A few isolated cases of rain or thunder are possible before 9:00 just inland from the coast and the eastern Big Bend, but substantial downpours or strong storms are not expected. The continued mildness and moisture are anticipated to stretch into the late-night time frame, with lows only reaching the middle 60s. Patches of dense fog may form before and around sunrise. The high-pressure system remains entrenched over the northeastern Gulf, which will support another big rebound in temps, with readings topping out near 90° away from the shore. Only a spot shower or two are possible. Late Friday, a cold front will slide into the Deep South, slow down and linger near our region over the weekend, and trigger more widespread shower activity at times Saturday and Sunday.
