MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
A slow-moving cold front is cutting through the tri-state region, allowing for building clouds and spots of developing rain and thunderstorms. Action this evening shouldn't raise overall severe weather risks, but some heavy rain and rumbles of thunder will occur from time to time. A second cold front is racing into the Southeast tonight, shoving all the current mugginess and cloud cover swiftly toward the east and southeast through the morning hours. Clearing will occur through Thursday afternoon as dry air surges into the region. Lows tonight will range from the mid 60s along the Chattahoochee to the low 70s southeast Big Bend. Dry air will warm quickly, so highs may approach 90° again in the afternoon, but the heat will quickly evacuate after nightfall, so Friday and Saturday mornings will be the coolest it's been since last May. It will remain rain-free and seasonably mild through Saturday, with moisture and shower chances returning for some by Sunday afternoon.
