MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Seasonal end to 2014. Temperatures to start the new year will be around the same. Lows across inland zones tonight at and around midnight will be in the lower to mid 40s. Closer to the coast, the temperatures will be in the upper 40s tonight into tomorrow morning. This is all due to high pressure setting in over much of the eastern half of the country. A steady northeast wind will keep us chilly with limited cloud cover so if you're planning on doing anything outdoors for New Years Eve or Thursday night, bring a sweater! Highs for the beginning of the new year will be in the mid 60s, right around our seasonal average. Thursday will also be a dry one so no worries about any rain to damper any outdoor activities. A slow warm-up will begin as a disturbance develops out west and draws in some moisture from the Gulf of Mexico. Rain chances will increase slowly to start the weekend with coverage around 20-30% for Friday & Saturday.
