MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

A string of clouds stretching from the northeast Gulf through southeast Georgia had limited the sunshine in the central parts of the region, but the clouds have been breaking elsewhere, allowing for warming in the humid environment.  Spotty showers and brief thunderstorms are possible, but unlikely to become vast or widespread.  We have another 24 hours of sultry, summerlike conditions with lows in the low to mid 70s tonight under a variably cloudy sky.  Highs tomorrow will break into the mid to upper 80s with off-and-on sunshine and a few more showers and storms in advance of a cold front.  The front and its associated upper disturbance will allow modified temperatures for Friday and beyond, but the slow movement of the upper low will maintain considerable cloud cover and a chance for passing light showers, diminishing to an isolated chance on Saturday and Sunday.  However, highs over the weekend may be greatly suppressed, staying in the 70s depending on how vast the overcast can be.
