MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Clouds filled in in the late-afternoon hours, but with overall higher air pressure and a decreased set-up for pop-up showers, rain chances will remain quite low for the evening. A stray shower can’t be ruled out, but most locations should get through tonight without major rain. Once the clouds break, temps will fall through the 70s overnight, reaching lows around the upper 60s. We’ll experience ample sunshine again Thursday with some scattered afternoon clouds, but the ongoing influence of high pressure will limit rain coverage to generally less than 20% of the area. With the support of west winds, highs will rise into the mid 90s. Friday will also be quite warm before showers and storms form in the interior Deep South and move southeast late … it’s a pattern that will create isolated strong thunderstorm chances for several days starting late this week.
