MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Scattered thunderstorms are popping again late today, but some storms near the coast are struggling to build, while the best support for numerous storms is located over middle Georgia. A few of those may drift into interior south Georgia and clash with existing smaller storms. That combination may lead to brief intensification of storms with heavy rain and wind gusts. Elsewhere, chances for showers and thunder will continue through early tomorrow morning as action dwindles somewhat. Overnight lows will be in the mid 60s to around 70° with breaks in the clouds. About 40% of the area will experience spotty showers and thunderstorms, most of which should remain below severe strength. Highs will be in the low to mid 90s. Weekend rain chances will be suppressed a bit and more dependent on daytime heating and seabreeze forces.
