MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Evening rain and thunderstorms will be primarily confined to areas of north Florida along and south of Interstate 10, where the seabreeze is clashing with the overall northeast wind flow over the interior sections. An isolated storm is possible in south Georgia, but less likely to occur than along the wind flow collision zone just inland from the coast. These storms will have spotty heavy rain and frequent, vivid lightning, and could briefly become strong or severe. Overnight, the rain will end and clouds should disperse. Lows will be warm in the lower 70s. A return of the 90s is expected Thursday with another peppering of afternoon showers and storms, mainly depending on where the seabreeze set up and bumps against the prevailing inland winds. Rain coverage will gradually increase in the extended forecast with more moisture and less high pressure. There will be no tropical developments through the rest of this week.
