Storm Team Wednesday evening forecast (10/01/2014)

Posted

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

Late-day sunshine has helped temperatures to rebound, and shower opportunities late today are slim to nil.  It will be unseasonably mild overnight with partly cloudy conditions and lows only around 70°.  Some upper 60s are possible for inland areas.  It will feel more like late-summer Thursday with a sun-and-cloud mix, and isolated late-afternoon shower, and highs in the mid to upper 80s.  Some locations could crack the 90° mark briefly.  Friday will be nearly as warm, but a potent cold front will approach during the afternoon and evening hours, bringing clouds, additional showers, and a few thunderstorms.  After the front Saturday morning, the sky will clear and temps will be knocked lower thanks to a new colder air mass surging in from the north.  Lows early next week could dip into the upper 40s, but 50s are a solid trend for most areas.  Highs will recover to around 80°.
