TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) -- A broad low-pressure system near the northeast Gulf of Mexico will keep rain coverage on the high side today and Wednesday at 80%.Temperatures are expected to remain below average in the upper 80s due to abundant cloud cover and storms. As the system slowly moves towards the west more rain can be expected with the highest accumulations near the coast. This consistent rain could trigger flooding in certain areas, that's why there is a flood watch until Wednesday evening for the majority of our northern Florida counties. Rain totals won't be as high in Southern Georgia but rain is still expected.
Later this week and into the weekend, more sunshine will allow temperatures to climb back into the mid 90s.
