We start Tuesday morning about 15-20° warmer than Monday, but its still chilly in the 40s and 50s. This afternoon we’ll work a cold front through; with it will come a line of rain and isolated thunderstorms. We’re not looking at a severe threat here but a few thunderstorms may push winds near 30mph. Otherwise, expect a quick hit of rain starting just after lunch near the Apalachicola River and ending between 5 and 6pm near I-75. There may be straggling showers into the overnight but the main show happens in the heart of the afternoon today. We’ll see a brief cool down Wednesday with lows near 40° and highs in the middle 60s. Thursday is the pick of the week; sun and highs in the low/mid 70s are on the agenda. Starting Friday we’ll be unsettled to say the least heading into the weekend with a good chance at showers and storms through Monday. A front will sag itself over the region on Friday, that brings us a shot at showers and storms. It won’t move much into the weekend and a series of disturbance will move along it keeping our rain chance high through Sunday. Flooding may be a concern if rivers can’t lower a bit between now and then; it’s something that will have to be monitored. The silver lining here is for warm weather lovers, highs will be in the middle 70s Friday and Saturday.
Be safe and have a great Tuesday!
