MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- The gloominess of constant cloud cover and cold rain is ending early this Tuesday morning. We will see cool conditions stay, but the sun will return. Replacing the rain, strong winds will be the focus of Tuesday's weather. These strong winds will be caused due to the developing wintry storm in the northeast.
Starting off the morning, temperatures are in the mid to upper 40s, which is near average for this time of year. Clouds continue to stick around, but they will burn off during sunrise and continue to clear by Midday. Highs will still be cool, even with more sunshine. The forecast is only for mid to upper 50s and a few areas in the lower 60s.
Breezy northwest winds (up to 15-20 mph) will keep the brisk feeling with us all day long. Those winds will stick with us tonight, preventing a freeze. Still, expect tonight's temperatures (Wednesday early morning) to be in the upper 30s.
The Beach and Boating forecast will feature choppy waters in the bay. Small Craft Advisories will be present through the morning, and again later tonight.
Tuesday Tide Times are below:
Wednesday afternoon will stay in the upper 50s for highs, after a start in the 30s. Skies will be mainly clear with breezy conditions.
Wednesday night, with clear skies and calm winds, may bring a widespread light freeze to the local area. The coldest temperatures will be early Thursday morning, with some spots in the upper 20s. Thursday afternoon will be a bit more mild, but still cool, with highs only near 60° or so. Skies will be mainly sunny.
Friday will start a warming trend, after starting with temperatures in the mid to upper 30s. Highs will be near 70°.
Saturday into Monday, more warmth is expected to return, with highs in the lower 70s.
