TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - A much quieter weather day ahead. We're starting off with some areas of fog and mild temps in the mid to upper 50s. By the afternoon, we'll see more sun than clouds with temps climbing above average into the upper 60s. As the cold front pushes farther away cooler air invades the region. Temps overnight will fall to near average in the low 40s. Under sunny skies, temps tomorrow will get back to normal in to the mid 60s by the afternoon. New Years Eve festivities will be chilly, however. As the ball drops, temps will be in the low 40s and by sunrise, lows will be in the mid to upper 30s. Highs through the end of the week will be in the 60s with scattered showers possible on Friday. Saturday looks quieter with only an isolated shower or two expected. Overnight into Sunday, showers and storms look to move through with the main cold front. Temps will be muggy and warm for the weekend as well with highs climbing into the low to mid 70s.
