TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - After yesterday's searing heat with high temps clipping the century mark for the first time since last July, the rest of the 7-day forecast holds a more bearable heat trend. Highs range from the low to mid 90s through the end of the work week before a cold front passes by for the weekend allowing for a pleasant trend for Father's Day weekend. Highs will only be in the upper 80s. High pressure over the Gulf is allowing for a warm southwesterly breeze which will pump in moisture over the next few days and allow rain chances to increase as we head throughout the rest of the work week. Widespread storm chances are possible, not even specifically confined to the afternoon and evening starting tomorrow through Friday. Scattered storms are possible Saturday afternoon and evening before the rain threat turns more isolated for Father's Day and the beginning of next work week.
