Freeze warnings in effect through the morning and as you may have guessed it is because widespread temperatures will fall below 32 degrees by dawn. Abundant sunshine today, but expect highs to only reach the low 60s as are still tapping into an Arctic-based high pressure system. This will eventually move off the eastern seaboard, as it does, allowing winds to return from the Gulf of Mexico and therefore warm us up. But not yet! A couple more days of chill are in store. Thursday morning, expect lows to be near freezing once again though our highs should reach the upper 60s, indicating that a warm up is on the way! By Friday, we still wake up to temperatures in the upper 30s, but highs will finally make it back into the low 70s. Saturday, persistent Gulf moisture may allow for an isolated shower to occur, but nothing widespread. Highs reach the mid 70s. Easter Sunday also has a slight rain threat but we will gladly take a little moisture for conditions back in the upper 70s! By Monday and Tuesday, highs are near 80 degrees and scattered rainfall or thunderstorms are possible. It looks like we are setting up for an active weather pattern next week. Details to follow in future forecasts!
