Storm Team Tuesday morning forecast (06/11/2013)

Posted

A drying pattern is beginning to set up for north Florida and south Georgia. Morning temperatures started out slightly higher than average, in the mid 70s. The entire region will warm up into the afternoon hours, with high temperatures in Tallahassee approaching the mid 90s. Expect a 30% chance of afternoon showers and storms, but it is only associated with the typical summer sea breeze showers. Those scattered showers would occur in the afternoon to the early evening hours, but is not expected to be a washout. Overnight,  temperatures will drop to the lower-mid 70s. The drier conditions will bring about higher temperatures for the rest of the week. Afternoon highs will be in the mid 90s through the weekend, and some locations inland could approach the triple digits on Thursday. A 20-30% chance of rain is expected each day, due to the daily moisture moved onshore from the sea breeze. These next few days may be the hottest of the season so far, so keep cool and hydrated!
