MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- Still looking at a rather unsettled outlook for the first half of the work week. The week should end on a hotter note, though signs are pointing at a decent rain chance for the weekend.
Tuesday: We're starting off mostly cloudy and humid with temperatures in the lower to mid 70s for the morning. Aside from a few showers, many areas are quiet early on. A trough of low pressure is still situated in the southeast and that may help spark more rain. For the later morning and afternoon, more activity is expected with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing. Forecast highs are in the mid to upper 80s. Rain coverage will be around 40-50%.
Beach and Boating forecast information and your Tide Times are available below:
Wednesday: Some more unsettled weather may stick around with the aforementioned area of low pressure. Lows will be in the lower to mid 70s, with highs in the lower 90s. Rain coverage at it's peak is expected to be around 50%.
Thursday: As the trough exits our area, some upper level energy may stay close by, keeping the region in a somewhat unstable air mass. This may help rain chances rise somewhat, but for now, scattered showers and storms appear possible (40%). Expect lows in the lower to mid 70s with highs in the lower 90s.
Friday and Saturday: Lower to mid 70s are anticipated but an upper level high pressure system may help heat us up. With an influence of hot air from the west, expect highs in the mid 90s (possibly upper 90s). Enough moisture may help spark isolated showers and storms (30% coverage).
Sunday and Monday: The same pattern is expected to stick around, though more cloud cover is anticipated. Expect lows in the mid 70s, highs in the lower 90s, and rain coverage at around 30-40%.
