TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - The quiet weather week continues for the Deep South. High pressure reigning supreme over the region will allow for cool overnights and relatively pleasant daytime highs. Temps will be near freezing this Tuesday morning but by the afternoon, highs rebound to the mid 60s courtesy of the winds slacking off and full sunshine being in place. Overnight, temps will drop near freezing once again and a dry cold front will move through ushering in winds out of the northwest once again. Wind chills could be in the upper 20s. Upper 50s can be expected by Wednesday afternoon. But once the sun goes down, temps plummet fast towards the freezing mark once again by Thursday morning. Light freezes can be expected this morning through Thursday morning but that's where the chilly mornings stop. By the end of the work week, temps in the mornings will be back in the mid 40s as high pressure moves off the east coast allowing temps to warm back up as winds turn off the Gulf of Mexico. Highs will be the upper 60s Thursday through Saturday and even some low 70s can be expected for the end of the weekend and the beginning of next work week. Rain chances increase Sunday and Monday with our next frontal system pushing into the Deep South.
