Storm Team Tuesday Morning Forecast (7/15/14)

Posted

A combination of a cold front moving in and seabreeze activity will strike up some unsettled weather here today. Expect a few strong storms featuring mainly heavy rain, gusty winds and ample lightning. Some storms could possibly turn severe, though some cloudy conditions could help lower the threat and will also keep afternoon highs in the low 90’s. The cold front will continue to push through our region through Thursday, meaning more showers and storms are expected for Wednesday once again.  By Thursday, the trough should exit our region and weaken, which will lower our rain chances to 20% or less. Friday looks partly sunny, with less than a 20% chance of showers and a high of 95.  A shortwave trough will return to the area by late Friday, bumping up rain chances for the weekend to 40%. High temps will be in the low to mid 90’s.

Have a good Tuesday!
