MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- Chilly temperatures have swarmed North Florida and South Georgia this Tuesday morning with temperatures in the 40s. This is all due to cool and dry air, clearing up the sky and allowing Monday's heat to escape. The clear and dry nature of the air mass above will quickly help to warm us up, so prepare for a notable change in the temperatures today. Daytime highs are forecast to be in the mid to upper 70s for the next several days, closing in on 80 degrees by Thursday-Friday. Morning lows will range in the mid 40s to lower 50s, getting steadily warmer as the high pressure overhead moderates and becomes warmer.
Heading into Saturday, the high pressure system is expected to break down, allowing a cold front to move in the area. Highs for the weekend are forecast to start off warm on Saturday (mid to upper 70s) and cool off toward Monday (Lower 70s). Lows may fall closer to the upper 30s. Fall is getting colder!
