TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Scattered storms and plenty of heat are still expected today. Temps start off muggy in the mid 70s with winds coming off the Gulf to aid in the humid conditions. By the afternoon, plenty of early sunshine will bump those temps back into the mid 90s rather quickly with heat index values expected to climb above 100° again. During the mid afternoon hours, storms will start to fire up along a sea breeze front advancing from the Gulf. A few of these storms could last late into the evening. This pattern is expected to continue in a similar fashion with high pressure sitting off the Atlantic coast with winds going clockwise around that system continuing to pump in moisture from the Gulf. Expect temps in the mid 90s each day through the weekend with lows bottoming out in the low to mid 70s.
