TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - We'll get in on slightly sunnier skies today which will cause temps to tick upward again. We'll begin the day with overcast conditions insulating temps in the upper 50s and low 60s. By the afternoon, winds will shift from the northeast to more of an easterly flow causing the skies to transition to a more sun-cloud mix. This will bump temps into the upper 70s this afternoon. The exception to this may be out east where we could see a few sparse showers this afternoon and evening. Winds will continue to shift out of the Gulf of Mexico the next couple days which will allow moisture and warmth to return to the picture. Expect a few isolated storms throughout the midweek with temps continuing to warm back into the mid 80s. A cold front moves back into the Deep South to end the work week which will bring scattered rain chances throughout the region and will also bring temps back down only hovering around 70° for a high. The weekend looks even chillier for Springtime Tallahassee festivities. Waking up Saturday morning, temps will be in the low 40s while afternoon highs will stay capped in the mid 60s with a pesky breeze sticking around. High pressure builds in which will allow for a cold start to Sunday in the mid to upper 30s. Highs will continue to warm back into the upper 60s making for a pleasantly cool end to the weekend. A few showers are possible Monday with temps continuing to warm back to seasonable levels in the mid 70s.
