MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- It will be warm and unsettled this morning and afternoon as winds from the south keep the Spring feeling fully alive. A disturbance ahead of an approaching cold front will approach tonight, increasing the chance for thunderstorms, with a MARGINAL risk for severe storms across the local area.
Tuesday starts off mild, with temperatures around 50°. Winds out of the south will pull in more warmth and moisture.
Expect afternoon highs today to jump to the mid 70s (possibly upper 70s) with mostly cloudy skies. Rain coverage will be around 30% during the day, growing to 60% after sunset.
Tonight, strong storms are possible, with a MARGINAL risk of severe weather and a SLIGHT risk for western counties. Marginal risk means that isolated storms can produce severe characteristics, which include strong gusty winds, hail, and a slim chance of a weak tornado. A slight risk means that more storms in a scattered fashion can be severe.

Wednesday may feature another MARGINAL threat for severe weather as warm air and moisture can still help form showers and storms throughout the day. Upper level conditions are marginally favorable for strong storms. Rain coverage will be around 40%. Highs will range in the mid 70s, and if we get enough sunshine, upper 70s are possible.
Thursday will be the last round of rain as the cold front pushes east of us, with 30% coverage of showers, followed by general clearing. Lows will start out in the 60s and afternoon highs are expected to stay in the 60s.
Friday morning is forecast to be cold, with lows in the 30s. A comfortable afternoon is anticipated with sunny skies and highs in the lower 60s.
The weekend will feature a general warming trend with lows near 50° and highs in the mid 70s.
