Storm Team Tuesday Morning Forecast (11/12/13)

Posted

A blast of arctic air will rush into our area, along with strong gusty winds; some gusts will be up to 35 mph. We will have mostly sunny skies with a high of 76. The strong cold front will move through our region this afternoon making our temps cool down quite quickly. Southeastern Alabama may have a freeze watch in effect for the overnight hours. Wednesday morning, low temps will be in the upper 30’s to low 40’s and while we will have partly cloudy skies, our highs will struggle to make it into the upper 50’s. Breezy conditions will stay with us throughout the day. Thursday morning looks like it will be the coldest morning of the season around here. A freeze watch will be in effect from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. Thursday morning. Some temps across the big bend will be nearing the freezing mark, and counties further north could have even colder weather. By the afternoon we should make it up to the mid 60’s. Our high temps will slowly bounce back into the low 70’s on Friday, and rain showers will also make a come back in the evening. Saturday and Sunday look mostly cloudy with light and scattered showers. By Sunday, highs will be back in the upper 70’s.

Happy Tuesday! Grab your sweaters.
