TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - An upper level low pressure system over the Gulf waters will approach the coast today ushering in more storm threats, especially for our western areas. Expect on and off wet weather with temps a bit more bearable because of increased cloudiness. Expect highs to be in the upper 80s near the Apalachicola River and southwest Georgia while mid 90s are likely along I-75. Officially in Tallahassee, we'll top off at 92° around lunchtime. This system falls apart overnight transitioning us into a drier, quieter, and therefore hotter set up as a high pressure system builds in from the Atlantic. Temps will rebound into the mid to upper 90s for the rest of the 7-day forecast with a few sea breeze-induced PM storms possible. Feels-like temps will easily reach 105° by peak heating this weekend.
