MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- A cold front is approaching the area and ahead of it, winds from the southwest may help to spark up isolated showers and thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon. Daytime highs are expected to reach near or above 90 degrees as the sun will make its presence felt before the rain arrives. Unlike Monday, widespread shower activity isn't expected Tuesday, due to the exit of an upper level disturbance that sat right over the area. With that in mind, rain coverage will be around 30%. Lows into Wednesday morning are forecast to be around 70 degrees.
Wednesday afternoon, the main front is expected to drive through the area, sparking up the rain coverage to 50% with daytime highs struggling to reach 90 degrees. Some lingering moisture behind the front can provide rainfall to move on in Thursday, but it will be limited (30% or less).
Thursday night into Friday morning is when we'll really feel the Fall cool down. Morning lows could possibly drop to the upper 50s!
