MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- Record heat was recorded for Halloween with the new high set at 90 degrees! The heat is accompanying a dry air mass associated with high pressure, and another day of above average temperatures is expected. This morning, temperatures are cool, with numbers near 60 degrees. This afternoon, numbers will range in the mid to upper 80s with mainly sunny skies. While a few clouds are possible, the overall dryness of the airmass overhead will keep rain chances near zero until Wednesday.
By then, more moisture is expected to work its way in from the Atlantic as east winds dominate. There is not much in terms of support for scattered thunderstorms, but an isolated shower or storm can't be ruled out. A front out west will approach by Friday, and isolated showers will be possible from Wednesday through Friday (20% coverage or less). Daytime highs will range in the mid to upper 80s through Thursday. For the coast, you may see breezy winds pick up through the week, with small craft advisory conditions possible by Thursday.
Friday afternoon, the front will be long gone, and in its wake, cool and dry air. Lows are forecast to drop back to the mid 40s for the weekend with highs in the 70s.
