Strong to severe storms will move through our area today. We are under a flash flood watch until Wednesday at 8pm. Some of these storms will contain heavy rainfall, strong damaging winds, large hail, frequent lightning and even the possibility of a few isolated tornadoes. This system will continue to push through the region and stay with us for the next 2-3 days. Rain and thunderstorms will still be here tomorrow, the highest rainfall amounts look like they will be in Southeast Alabama, and Southwest Georgia, these areas could see 2-5” of rain. Some areas could see higher amounts of rainfall when everything is all said and done. High temps will hang around the low 80’s. Showers and some storms could still be here on Thursday and Friday. Storms don’t look like they will be as severe. Once the front finally passes the area, Friday afternoon will feature much cooler weather; high temps will only hit 73. Skies will clear out by Saturday and Sunday with temps in the low 80’s. Monday, looks dry and mostly sunny, with a high of 84.
Stay informed, safe and dry. Have a great Tuesday!
