TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Freeze warnings stay effective for south Georgia and I-75 region until 9 am this morning. Make sure to keep your pets and sensitive plants indoors. It'll feel even chillier with winds gusting 10-20 mph throughout the day. High temps will be cooler than yesterday in the mid 50s, though we'll keep around plenty of sunshine. Freeze watches are in effect overnight as temps look to be similarly cool to start off Wednesday morning in the low to mid 30s, especially farther to the north. By the afternoon, we'll crack 60° with more sunny skies. The milder trend continues to round out the work week as winds turn off the Apalachee Bay. Temps will start in the mid 40s Thursday morning and get to teh mid 60s in the afternoon. Late day showers are possible, especially further west. That upper level system advances overnight springing up more showers early in the day. Temps will warm into the low to mid 70s. The weekend looks like it'll be impacted by more showers and even a few storms on Saturday. Temps stay warm in the low 70s. Milder to round out the weekend in the mid 60s.
