TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Our next cold front advances into the southeast triggering more widespread shower and storm chances today. A couple embedded cells could be on the strong to severe side with high gusts and some small hail being the main threats. Temps still feel quite summery ranging from the upper 60s this morning to the mid 80s this afternoon with high humidity. Overnight, we'll begin to clear out as the frontal boundary advances east of the region with temps bottoming out in the mid 60s. Expect highs to be seasonable tomorrow in the low 80s with mostly sunny conditions returning. High pressure builds overhead allowing temps to dip fairly quickly after sunset into the mid 50s by Thursday morning. In the afternoon, we'll see mostly sunny conditions, however with a persistent northwesterly breeze, high temps will only get into the mid to upper 70s. That's actually below average for this time of year--our first below average temps in more than two weeks! We'll approach 80° by Friday with overnight lows still down in the low 50s. Mom's weekend begins to get a bit warmer ranging from the 50s in the morning to the mid 80s in the afternoon. By next work week, temps get steamy once again into the upper 80s.
