MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
A disturbance along the east coast of Florida will provide large amounts of moisture needed to fuel areas of clouds, rain, and occasional thunderstorms. The tropical low, which may straddle the threshold between "disturbance" and "tropical storm" early this evening, will be mainly a rainmaker for the region, primarily in the eastern half and the Suwannee Valley, where a few inches of rain may be produced in heavier downpours between now and Friday. Sustained gusty winds or severe weather aren't anticipated. Lows tonight will be in the mid 70s, while Wednesday highs will be limited to the mid and upper 80s, with slightly warmer conditions possible near the Apalachicola River where cloudiness may be less extensive. There is no significant dry or cool air in sight through the extended forecast. Rain chances stay elevated for I-75 area counties while scattered elsewhere into the weekend.
