MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Not everyone is receiving rain or thunder this evening, but the general setup over the region is still moist and unsettled. There’s still a stretched-out disturbance just off to our south, and a slow-moving cold front entering the Southeast. We’ll experience occasional waves of showers and thunder, especially in the afternoon with daytime heating, but coastal and offshore showers and storms can occur any time of day or night in the next 24 to 36 hours. The abundance of moisture will keep overnight lows in the middle 70s. Highs will vary between the upper 80s and middle 90s, depending on cloud cover and rain activity. Later this week, the cold front will make a partial pass through the area, allowing for a temporary drop in rain action over the weekend, but temperatures will remain slightly above average during the day and isolated showers and thunder will still be possible. Tropical waves in the Atlantic do not pose an immediate threat to the region.
