TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- The cloudy skies from today will slowly try to clear through the evening for a mostly clear night, however, winds are still expected to be moderate. This will prevent temperatures from falling to the lower 30s for most of the area. Once the skies clear tonight, we're expected to keep the clouds away for a few days, but the unseasonably cool weather will remain.
Tonight, skies will clear to a mostly clear night with winds from the north at about 10 mph. Overnight lows will fall to the upper 30s for most of the area, but the wind chill may make it feel a few degrees cooler. Tonight, we are not concerned with freeze conditions.
Wednesday will stay cold with highs warming close to 57 degrees for most. Skies should stay sunny and winds will be breezy yet again, about 10-15 mph with the occasional stronger gust. As we head into Wednesday night, our winds will really begin to calm down. These calm winds and clear skies will help temperatures drop to the lower 30s and even upper 20s for some. Because of this, there will be a freeze watch for Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
For the last part of the week, a weak ridge is expected to build over the area allowing for temperatures to warm back into the lower 70s and feel more seasonal.
