MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

Early rain and thunder activity left considerable cloudiness in some locations, which has limited the re-development of heavy rain and storms.  Elsewhere, showers and storms were more focused in the afternoon and still causing spots of downpours near the tri-state region and in the I-75 corridor.  High pressure lurking to the east will have more influence over the regional weather pattern in the next few days.  First, it will decrease rain chances in the eastern half of the region Wednesday and shift most storm formation into the Apalachicola River basin through Wednesday.  Then, more of the region will encounter drier conditions and warmer daytime temperatures.  Lows tonight will be in the low to mid 70s, and highs Wednesday range from the mid 80s in the Forgotten Coast to mid 90s in the Suwannee Valley.  After the warm spell, tropical moisture will bring generous rain chances back to the area.
