MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
The region is barely on the sidelines of a vast area of heavy rain and generally disturbed weather just off to the west. As a result, we're missing out on the thickest cloud coverage and most-intense rain and thunderstorms. With more sunshine and warming this afternoon, some pop-up showers and isolated storms have formed and are mostly moving to the northeast. A passing shower is possible through late tonight, with very warm temperatures overnight reaching lows only around 70°. The corridor of unsettledness is forecast to slowly shift east, meaning more clouds and rain coverage is expected for especially western locations Wednesday. Highs will be in the upper 70s west to mid 80s east. We'll stick with more clouds than sun on Thursday, with partial clearing Friday with scattered showers and storms. Rain chances continue a bit higher than average into the weekend.
