MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
The recent trend of excess cloudiness and periods of rain and storms is beginning to break. A more stable slot in the wake of the departing disturbance will allow for more sunshine to come through and give daytime temperatures a boost over the next couple of days. Showers and storms won’t be eliminated, but the coverage of such will be noticeably lower. Nighttime lows will fall into the low and mid 70s with partly cloudy conditions and additional areas of clear sky. A southwest wind will provide moisture but the coverage of rain and storms shouldn’t exceed 40% in the next two afternoons. Wednesday’s highs will be in the lower and mid 90s, with feels-like readings peaking in the upper 90s. Rain activity will be primarily scattered through the rest of the week with slight chances for an isolated stronger storm at times. Tropical depression in the open Atlantic is still forecast to weaken as it approaches the Caribbean Sea later this week.
