MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Periods of rain continue to impact most of the region, with total accumulations today falling short of one inch in inland areas. The coast, though, has still been receiving the brunt of the heaviest downpours, adding to a widespread swath of one to three inch totals locally, with isolated instances of six inches or more in areas near the mouth of the Suwannee River. The slow-moving broad disturbance overhead will still have a direct tap of Gulf moisture to use to create more times of showers and rain. Intensity of rain will be highest offshore and along the coast overnight and tomorrow, with the potential for another three to seven inches of rain in these zones. Areas along and north of Interstate 10 will receive considerably less rain, but some locally heavy downpours are possible even around the state line counties. A flood watch continues through Wednesday evening for the entire Big Bend region. Lows tonight will be in the mid and upper 70s, with highs Wednesday in the low 80s coast to low 90s far inland. The disturbance will drift to the west through Thursday and lessen its direct impacts on the region, but plenty of leftover moisture will drive scattered showers and storms through the remainder of the week and the weekend.
