MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Light showers and clouds will linger for the evening as more cold air rushes into the region behind today's cold front. Shower coverage will become limited to coastal and southeast Big Bend areas later tonight, with partial clearing occurring area-wide overnight. A slight breeze will continue to drive down temperatures; most of us will wake up to temperatures around freezing. Sunshine and a few passing clouds will create temps rising back into the 50s in the afternoon, but still falling short of average. The next Arctic cold front will slide through late Wednesday without any rain chances, but it will renew and intensify the cold feel in the region. Lows in the 20s are likely Thursday morning with a biting breeze, and highs will only reach the 40s before a possible hard freeze Friday morning. A quick jump in temperatures is forecast for the weekend with additional clouds.
