MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- A high pressure system is dominating our weather pattern, and will continue to do so through Thursday. This high is helping to dry the air a bit. Mornings will be slightly cooler, in the upper 60s, which the same drier air means perhaps more comfortable daytime temperatures (Tuesday's highs will be in the lower 90s) and less of a chance to see rain. As we move closer to the end of the work week, the high pressure will weaken and the humidity and rain chances will return.
Both Wednesday and Thursday will be similar to what we saw today; sunny skies with only a few clouds during the day. Daytime highs will top off in the lower 90s with a light easterly breeze. Overnight lows will drop to the upper 60s under mostly clear and calm conditions. Rain is not expected.
By Friday, we'll see the high pressure break down and the humidity return. Highs continue to stay in the lower 90s, while lows fall to the lower 70s. Afternoon rain could return, but chances remain low and isolated.
