MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The rain machine kicks into higher gear Tuesday evening as a frontal system pushes into our forecast area into Wednesday. Rain coverage will be highest Wednesday (60%) but the rest of Tuesday evening (30%) will feature a small chance of the isolated storms that do form to be strong, or even severe. Overnight lows into Wednesday morning will be warm and feel even warmer with the humid winds from the southwest. Expect lows to be in the mid to upper 70s, with values near 80 along the coast. Temperatures will be affected by the increase in cloud cover and rain caused by the front, but still daytime highs can reach the mid 90s in isolated spots and near 90 degrees along the coast. After the frontal passage, it may likely just south of the region, and drier air will likely filter in from the north. Temps are forecast to still be warm (lower 90s), but rain coverage will be minimal for the weekend ahead (30%).
