MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Thunderstorms locally have been spotty, but have been able to cause locally heavy rain and some wind gusts. A risk for isolated severe weather occurrences exists, particularly in easternmost counties this evening east of I-75. Overnight, another scattering of showers and storms is likely, with the possibility of a few of those acquiring enough strength to produce gusty winds and perhaps an isolated tornado. Lows will hover around 70°, and highs will try to reach 80°. Excessive cloudiness and periods of heavy rain will hold temps from going too high. A cold front late Wednesday will sweep away the messy weather and bring a short period of drier, cooler conditions into the region to conclude this week. Memorial Day weekend appears to be warm, partly cloudy, with a couple of afternoon showers or storms by Sunday.
