MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Isolated showers and storms are present from the afternoon heating and seabreeze forces, while more numerous thunderstorms are impacting the interior of the Southeast with occasionally stronger, gusty elements possible. Local storms may be briefly strong, but very few in number. After patchy cloud cover this evening, rainy areas will fizzle out, leaving breaks of clear sky overnight and mild lows in the mid 70s. A good deal of moisture remains in place Wednesday as an upper-level high continues to strengthen to the southeast of the area, supporting above-average highs in the mid and upper 90s, with feels-like heat index values around 102° to 108° in the peak heating hours. Showers and storms will become more isolated through the end of the week, which means afternoon temps may more easily approach 100° outside of the seabreeze zone near the coast.
