MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Late-day isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms are developing, primarily on the eastern half of the Big Bend region and the coastal seabreeze in the Apalachicola National Forest, with slight chances to encounter heavy downpours and occasional lightning. Slow movement is expected with these cells, and most should diminish by late tonight. Leftover clouds and moisture may lead to spotty fog in the morning as temperatures fall into the middle 60s. Wednesday, with the influences of a ridge of high pressure over the Gulf, shower and storm action could be even more limited. High will make a run toward 90° away from the coast. Thursday will also be very warm with little rain opportunity, but an increase in showers is forecast for the weekend as a cold front nears.
